Manama, Tender and Bidding Council: The Tender and Bidding Board, the independent regulatory body in charge of overseeing government bidding and bidding practices, today opened 54 bids for the number of five tenders offered by four banking entities.
The agenda of the conquest committee included the opening of 8 bids for a tender of the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning (Public Works Affairs) regarding construction work for a multi-storey tower for a generational reserve building project.
The committee opened a tender for the Ministry of Health regarding general medicines stored for the ministry, and 16 bids were received for this tender.
Moreover, the committee opened a tender for the Electricity and Water Authority (Department of Planning and Studies) regarding the purchase of flexible iron pipes with accessories in addition to valves, and seven bids were received for this tender.
Finally, in the oil and gas sector, the Committee opened two tenders for Tatweer Petroleum, the first tender for periodic maintenance and mechanical work, and nine tenders were received for this tender, while the second tender was for various civil maintenance works, and 14 bids were received for this tender.
This has been attended by a number of representatives of the banking authorities and companies participating in the tenders, in the framework of the Tender Board’s commitment to firm auctions with the highest standards of integrity and competition and the provision of fair treatment to all suppliers and contractors in order to achieve the principle of equal opportunities, all bids submitted for tenders will be subject to technical and financial evaluation, and will be awarded The best bid is on the lowest and lowest terms.
