Work Detail The construction company Panedile agreed with the ABSA company to begin the pending work on these days. Through a press release, the company Aguas Bonaerenses SA (ABSA) reported that it reached an agreement with the company Panedile, for the completion of the works in the Primera Cuenca Sewage Liquid Treatment Plant, in Ingeniero White. The construction company promised to start work on these days and the completion period is scheduled for 45 days. Compliance with it is linked to existing limitations due to the movement and entry of personnel. In this way, in a short time all the stages of the new plant, which will be in charge of treating 75% of the citys sewage, can be put into operation. ABSA President Germán Ciucci stressed the importance of the agreement that will allow "the plant to start working at once." In this sense, the head of ABSA regretted that "it has not been complied with in a timely manner, because it not only caused harm to users, but also that updating costs requires the company to make an important expense" . Regarding the technical aspects, the start-up of equipment for the digestion and dehydration of sludge is still pending. For this, the arrival of the technicians of the supplier company from Chile was planned. However, and due to the limitations imposed by the isolation for international traffic, the operation will be carried out remotely through virtual channels. In the primary treatment sector, work will be carried out to replace valves, pipes and connections that had to be replaced in tanks of caustic soda, ferric chloride, hypochlorite and organic matter. In these facilities, the ones initially planned did not meet the necessary requirements for their correct operation. Finally, the set-up of the Treatment Plant will allow it to operate in all its stages and comply with the parameters of current legislation on effluent discharge. Last March the undersecretary of Buenos Aires Water Resources, Guillermo Jelinski, assured that the plant that Governor María Eugenia Vidal inaugurated in September last year is not finished and also recalled that it lacks three stages to carry out a complex treatment of the sewage fluids. "Opening things that still dont work is aberrant," Jelinski said at the time.
