Last October, the Town Council of Xàbia bid for the works of urbanization of polygon Catarroja 1 for 1,068,457.64 euros (VAT included), a historical demand that finally boosts with the first investment real. The process has followed its natural course, and it has, in theory, an adjudicator.
And it is theoretically because in practice it is still unclear, since the tender winner company has not submitted the necessary documentation to make the contract official. In fact, according to the Councilor for Contracting, Ximo Segarra, in the last full December, the company filed a letter stating that there were a number of shortcomings in the project and that there was a mistake with the offer. "They had ten days to submit the paperwork, but after submitting the letter, the process remained on standby until the allegations were answered. They have not officially resigned yet, "said Segarra.
This could foreshadow a retreat and revive the worst fears: the story will be repeated for the third time, and the same with Trianas auditorium and bridge. But the truth is that this time the situation is not the same. The documentation or signing of the redevelopment document - the document with which the works begin - has not been provided yet, so the bidding process is still open. Or, the same thing: If the provisional bidder resigns, he will be awarded the second on the list.
Currently, city planning technicians are, according to municipal sources, reviewing the project to determine if the shortcomings the company is referring to have occurred. And you will receive an answer shortly. Then the ball will be on the roof of the company.
The project
The management of the polygon is divided into two phases: Catarroja I and Catarroja 2. The City Council has now activated the execution of the first phase so that the works can be coordinated with the construction of the roundabout that will give access to it from the CV 734.
The works will provide all the obligatory urban services to this area of ??12 plots spread over 26,625 square meters so that it acquires the condition of lot, open and asphalt the roads and sidewalks and prepare the network of public lighting. The council will manage the work, which will then be passed on to the owners through urbanization fees. The term of execution is of two years. |
