Sudarshan Chemical Industries has undertaken expansion of its synthetic organic chemicals capacity at Mahad in Raigarh district of Maharashtra.
The project will include expansion of Copper Phthalocyanine Blue to 13,440 tpa, Alpha Blue from 2,520 tpa to 4,800 tpa, Beta Blue from 2,160 tpa to 6,036 tpa, Pigment Green from 1,680 tpa to 5,220 tpa and MICA Pearl Pigments from 2,136 tpa to 3,000 tpa.
The unit will also have a co-generation power unit of 10 MW. The company will entail an investment of Rs 480 crore towards the expansion.
The company has received green nod from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) for the project in April 2019, following which work commenced in August 2019.
The work on the project began as per schedule. As per information available with Projects Today, work was underway, and scheduled to be completed by August 2020. |
