Work Detail Dubai, November 20, 2019: The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities (DIAC) launched the Corporate Procurement Platform 509 in partnership with ASWAQ in the presence of Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Charity Sector, and Mr. Yousef Sharaf, CEO of ASWAQ. The first of its kind in the region, it is transforming part of the purchases made by government departments with markets for donations in the charitable sector, which will be spent in sustainable development processes, during the launch of knowledge initiatives at the Knowledge Summit 2019, entitled: `` Knowledge for Development Sustainable development. " For his part, Al Muhairi said: “The Enterprise Procurement Platform 509” is based on the ninth item of the 50th document launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai earlier this year. The Departments philanthropic work aims to lead a pioneering and innovative philanthropy, and to build a sustainable and competitive global leader through the creation of an integrated charity system to empower the broader stakeholders. Al Muhairi added that the launch of the initiative in the Knowledge Fair is an important step that supports the orientation of the Summit in its sixth edition, which aims to achieve sustainable development and meet global challenges.It highlights the role of government agencies in devising meaningful initiatives in the society, which in turn achieve the concept of sustainability for the Summits diverse audience to recognize. The Corporate Procurement Platform 509 aims to find a way for companies to contribute to philanthropy, and to increase the volume of donations to charity which will help the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charity work to increase and improve the quality of charitable projects that it creates and provide to help the community and promote it, and provide government departments and companies with high-level service In terms of quality and service quality, the platform was developed by Aswaq to keep pace with government accelerators, which currently includes 6000 products that can be selected by the entities registered in the platform according to their institutional needs. The platform supports humanitarian action through the institutional procurement centralization of all government departments and affiliated entities. The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities supervised the signing of the joint initiative agreements with governmental and semi-governmental bodies, especially for each of the representatives of the participating parties to the agreements: Ms. Sheikha Al Mansouri, Deputy Director General of Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, Dr. Mohammed Al Awadi, Executive Director of Al Jalila Hospital, Saleh Abdullah Al Marzooqi, Director of Institutional Support at Dubai Sports Council, Mohammed Faridawi, General Manager of Tamrat, Aisha Baljafla, Vice Chairman of My Vision, Mark Wilmar Anas, Markets Retail Manager.
