Work Detail The Ministry of Transport will support the construction of filling stations for liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Operational Program Transport (OPD). For this purpose, 50 million crowns are earmarked from European funds to support infrastructure for alternative fuels. “The interest in this issue exceeded our expectations, so we decided to launch one more call within the OPT. The National Action Plan for Clean Mobility, which was approved by the government in November 2015, refers to the number of 5 LNG filling stations in 2025. With the contribution of the subsidy program, this objective will not only be achieved but also exceeded ” , says Transport Minister Vladimír Kremlík. The Ministry of Transport announces the call on 30 September. The deadline for submission of applications will be 14 January 2020. Applicants who are engaged in an economic activity in the following areas: distribution of gaseous fuels through grids, gas trading or retail fuel sales in specialized stores and who submit a project to build LNG filling stations in the Czech Republic. The scope of the project is entirely at the discretion of the applicant. The maximum aid intensity of eligible expenditure in this call can be up to 60%. Submitted grant applications will be evaluated in particular in terms of economy, preparedness and relevance of the project. The first call for support for the construction of LNG filling stations was announced in April 2018, two applications were supported, within which 13 LNG stations should be established in the Czech Republic by 2022. In addition to CNG and LNG filling stations, the Ministry of Transport also supports the construction of hydrogen filling stations. In total, the Ministry of Transport has earmarked CZK 1.2 billion for a subsidy program to support infrastructure for alternative fuels under OPT.
