Work Detail Malwee, one of the most traditional textile companies in Santa Catarina, has announced that it will invest in photovoltaic systems in the industrial park of Santa Catarina. In total, the company announced an investment of R $ 100 million. The need to reduce costs and at the same time adopt increasingly sustainable practices has gained strength in the Brazilian industrial sector. Proof of this is that Malwee, one of the most traditional textile companies of Santa Catarina, in Brazil, has just announced an investment of R $ 100 million (about 26 million dollars) in projects that include the installation of photovoltaic systems to supply part of the of the manufacturing operation. The resources, which will be invested over three years, are divided into three fronts: R $ 10 million in sustainability programs (such as reuse and reduction of water consumption and installation of solar energy systems in the industrial park), R $ 25 million will be invested in machinery to modernize manufacturing and increase productivity; and the other 65 million will go to R + D + i as well as business development through electronic commerce. Malwee already received last year the Green Wave trophy, awarded to the winners of the 25th edition of the Ecological Expression Award, whose award is recognized by the Ministry of the Environment. Malwee bills more than R $ 1,000 million per year and currently has nearly six thousand employees. The production is of 35 million pieces per year, in four factories, which supply 24 thousand points of sale in Brazil.
