Keventer Agro, Kolkata-based food and agriculture company, is planning to make an investment of around Rs 180-200 crore towards expansion.
The investment will be made towards expanding food and agriculture companies in eastern and northern India. The investment will be made in the next two years.
Of the total planned investment, around Rs 40-50 crore will go towards dairy business to augment existing capacity, Rs 80 crore towards banana business and the balance will go into Frooti business.
Keventer Agro is Parle Agro’s largest franchise for Frooti, Appy and Bailley. The company will raise the debt to meet the capital investment plan.
The company is also planning to set up banana ripening centres at Patna (Bihar), Guwahati (Assam) and in markets in north India.
Apart from this, the company will expand its value added milk business to Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Northeast and Chhattisgarh. |
