Work Detail The Administrator of Railway Infrastructures (Adif), entity dependent on the Ministry of Development, has tendered the services of consulting and technical assistance for the drafting of the basic project and construction of a new urban halt in Córdoba capital, in the vicinity of the Avenida de Equality, as a new commuter station. According to Adif, this project, which has a budget of 296,081 euros (VAT included) and a 12-month drafting deadline, is the definition of "the best architectural solution for the design of a new halt", located between the stations of Central Córdoba and the University Campus of Rabanales, which "will allow a greater coverage and frequency in rail transport" of the province. This project, which will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), will take into account the integration of the station in the urban environment, the uniqueness of the railway situation and the existing infrastructures, in view of its future construction. Likewise, in order to maintain the existing rail traffic in service, it will be necessary to establish a works plan that makes it possible to make the execution of the works compatible with the operation of all the lines. The contract includes the technical feasibility study to determine the best location of the halt. For this, the location study already carried out will be analyzed, whose location is located at the west entrance of the underground tunnel of the high-speed line in Córdoba. This proposal places the stop at the confluence of the avenue of Almogávares and Avenida de la Igualdad, although, "in parallel, at least two other alternative locations should be studied in this environment". ARCHITECTURAL IMAGE The architectural image of the project should provide "a modern and renewed and identifiable concept" within the city. The exterior image must be "integrated into the environment and should facilitate the orientation of travelers towards the entrance. In order to be able to define the needs program of the halt, "the demand study must be updated, which will allow to compare the number of winches and necessary vending machines and the lobby space required for the possible queues of users, among other aspects". This program of needs will be formed by various elements, among others, the access module, the platform and the enclosure, taking into account, for the first, that "the number of winches will be determined according to the number of travelers planned by the study. of demand ", and that this access module" will have to be adapted for people with reduced mobility ". As for the platform, the halt will have a single lateral platform, and the position of the platform, north of the tracks, is determined by the composition of the tracks, that is, there are two high-speed roads to the south and one route of Iberian width to the North. Finally, and with respect to the enclosure, the enclosure of the entire affected area will be projected, with a fence whose architectural image is a continuation of that established by the access module and the rest of the elements that make up the halt. Similarly, the possible urban connection with the Avenue of Equality should be borne in mind, starting from the fact that the position of the platform on the north side of the tracks is conditioned by the position of the conventional gauge road on this side, with which, for this reason, the access, a priori, would not be found in the Avenue of Equality, but in Pedroche Street. Therefore, "in the event that it is considered necessary to incorporate an element to the action that favors the pedestrian permeability between the two sides of the tracks or to facilitate an entrance to the halt directly from the Avenida de la Igualdad, it will be necessary that the project collect all the actions that are necessary ". COMPLEMENTARY ACTIONS The project should study the new facilities and connections that are necessary for the halt, and its design "should allow it to be part of the smart city model, through the incorporation of technological advances and new improvement solutions in passenger information systems. "and, for this, several issues will be considered. In this context it is necessary to provide for the installation of mixed-use screens, capable of unifying traveler information, advertising and directional signage, and neutral materials have been selected, favoring the coexistence between architecture and the latest technology displays or solutions. generation.
