Work Detail The Spanish company entered a Declaration of Environmental Impact to the SEA for the Alcones photovoltaic park, in the municipality of Marchigue in the OHiggins Region. It will require an investment of 120 million dollars. MARCH 5, 2019 PILAR SÁNCHEZ MOLINA On February 18, the Spanish multinational based in Navarra OPDEnergy presented an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) as part of the environmental processing process before the Environmental Assessment Service of Chile (SEA) for the construction of the Alcones photovoltaic plant. The project contemplates the construction and operation of a plant of 90 MW of nominal power. It will be located on an area of ??approximately 300.68 hectares in the district of Marchigüe, in the Region of Libertador General Bernardo OHiggins, north of Route 90. It includes the installation of 287,504 photovoltaic modules of 400 Wp of power grouped in 10,268 series formed by 28 modules each. The installation of the solar panels will be carried out on supporting structures corresponding to 5,134 monophilic 1-axis followers, with 56 modules installed per follower. In addition, 62 investors will be used, which will be distributed in 22 transformation centers. The Project will include the construction and operation of a 23/110 kV Electric Substation and a 110 kV single circuit High Voltage Line of approximately 8.5 km that will reach the existing 110 kV Portezuelo Electric Substation, owned by CGE. The company has already developed several projects in Chile, such as the two plants under the scheme PMGD in collaboration with Sonnedix, and others are under evaluation as the 7.7 MW plant also in OHiggins.
