Alvinesa Natural Ingredients has signed a contract with Endesa for the construction of a photovoltaic solar power plant in its facilities located in Daimiel, Ciudad Real. The plant, in which Alvinesa will invest close to two million euros, will have 2,500 KW of peak power and is expected to come online before the end of 2019. Alvinesa Natural Ingredients, leader in the extraction of natural ingredients of the grape, is an example in its own production and sustainable for its self-supply. Endesa wants to position itself as an energy partner of the industry most committed to the environment. It will have 2,500 KW of peak power and will have the latest technology in high performance polycrystalline panels. Its location will be attached to the factory that the firm has in the El Campillo polygon. The investment will be about two million euros in full and is expected to become operational, once the relevant authorizations have been obtained, in the shortest possible time, before the end of the year. For the signing of the contract they have been at the headquarters of Alvinesa Natural Ingredients in Daimiel, the director of Endesa Energía Juan José Muñoz with Jesús Cantarero, president of Alvinesa. During the visit, the facilities of the factory and the different projects developed by Alvinesa were known. For Muñoz, Endesas real mission is to support its customers with the best possible deal: We joined with Alvinesa for the incorporation of photovoltaic power plants for self-consumption in their factory, because Endesas real mission is not only to sell energy but also To understand well the needs of our customers and help them to solve their needs in the energy environment more efficiently. Being here in Daimiel, is an opportunity to grow in territories where we want to be more present today and in the future. Jesús Cantero, for his part, conceives this project as an opportunity for his factory: The orientation of the plant is to produce almost all the energy we consume ourselves because we work exclusively with our biomass for the purposes of producing thermal energy. With the support of Endesa, and since we are very committed to sustainability and the environment, we have seen the opportunity to produce at least 20 or 25% of the electricity we consume with the sun . With this investment, the positioning of Endesa in front of its clients allows them to be more safe from the changes that the electrical market suffers, besides diminishing the environmental impact of the industrial activity. All the production of the plant will go to the internal consumption of the factory that has been operating for some years in the outskirts of Daimiel and that produces natural ingredients extracted from grapes such as Polyphenols, Proanthocyanidins, Anthocyanins, Flavonoids, or Resveratrol, in addition to acid tartaric and alcohols. With this solar plant Alvinesa will achieve a double objective, have a considerable saving in the purchase of energy and supply part of its total consumption with renewable energy for a period that, initially, is calculated for 25 years. From its facilities inaugurated in 2015, Alvinesa exports the product to more than 15 countries and stores and valorizes pomace from all over the Spanish geography. With a team of 120 people, Alvinesa is responsible for the entire production cycle develops products for different industries such as wine and other beverages, food, the nutraceutical industry, animal feed, health products and energy (biomass) among others. |
