| Work Detail | Plastic jerrycan producer AST will open a new facility in Wrexham as part of a £6m investment from the firm in 2016. The new 4,500 sq metres facility has been constructed alongside the existing AST factory in Wrexham, North Wales, and has been built to house thousands of plastic containers, making it the biggest single warehouse of five to 25 litre plastic containers in UK. The new factory will open on 8 September. Managing director Martin Schack Staffeldt, said: "The opening of the new building in Wrexham and the expansion of our jerrycan production is yet another exciting step towards AST´s goal of becoming the European market leader in the segment we operate in. Once again it shows the commitment of AST to continued growth and investment in its operation in the UK.” An in-house exhibition from the family owned German company will take place during the day, where international suppliers such as Atlas Copco, Delta Engineering and Frisia Pack, will show some of their latest exciting innovations. |
