The contract for the construction of the second stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome is signed On Wednesday on his page on Twitter, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said this.
"The state contract for the construction of the second launch of the Angara rocket complex of the heavy and light classes at the Vostochny cosmodrome has been signed," he wrote. At the same time, he pointed out that the volume of capital investments will amount to 38.7 billion rubles. “The total area of ??the launch site is 89 hectares,” Rogozin said. At the same time, information appeared on the Roskosmos website that the contract was concluded with PSO Kazan. The scope of work includes the development of working documentation, construction and installation work, and the assembly of an object with engineering equipment provided for by the design documentation, the state corporation said in a statement.
It also indicates that the launch complex will be designed for 10 launches per year of Angara missiles of the heavy and light classes. The starting complex will include: a launching pad, a command post, a cable refueling tower, a transport and installation unit, refueling systems, fire extinguishing systems and other complexes.
Earlier, Roskosmos reported that a contract with the PSO Kazan for the construction of the second stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome will be signed in late August, work will start in early September. Prior to that, Rogozin stated that the contract would be signed in early August, after which construction would begin in the first decade of the month, reports TASS.
The Angara is a family of Russian launch vehicles from the light to the heavy classes. The new family uses environmentally friendly fuel components.
