Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services at the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning Eng. Ibrahim Al-Hawaj said that 210 works were submitted during the first half of 2018 to about 7 departments at a total cost of 1,292,278 dinars.
Eng. Ibrahim Al-Hawaj said that the Department of Roads Projects and Maintenance topped the departments in the number of tenders, where 79 bids were submitted at a value of 566.999 dinars, followed by the Department of operation and maintenance of sewage, which put 72 tenders at a total cost of 310,023 dinars, followed by the Department of Building Maintenance, 183.952 dinars.
Al-Hawaj pointed out that the most important internal tenders for the road sector were the rental of equipment, while the most prominent tenders of the construction sector were for maintenance. The tenders for drainage varied between the provision of spare parts, laboratory supplies and sample analysis, as well as the maintenance of lines.
