Work Detail State was intended to call 1,804 agents, but little more than half of the vacancies were filled The government of Rio Grande do Sul confirmed, on Thursday morning (5), the hiring of 949 servers for public safety. In June, an initial call for 1,804 agents was announced , but only half of the vacancies were filled. The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) claims that there was low demand for part of the bodies and another part of the candidates was not approved. The Military Brigade was the institution that most had vacancies filled. Altogether, adding servers from the Armed Forces and reservists who will return to the active, are 769. There are still 134 for the Fire Department in the same modalities. For the Civil Police, 31 retired employees, as well as 11 for the General Institute of Skills (PGI) and four for Susepe. The announcement was made by Governor Jose Ivo Sartori on his Twitter. According to him, hiring generates less cost for the state. He assures that the "servers will act in administrative functions, school patrol, external guard of prisons, custody of public buildings, video monitoring, among others, allowing the assets to act in the end-activity, fighting crime." The expectation of the SSP is that the servers start working in the third week of July. The agents will have temporary contracts of two years, renewable for the same period. It was not informed the number of servers that will be destined to the municipalities, since each organ will evaluate the need of the regions.
