The State Commission for the Control of Public Procurement annulled the tender for the second phase of renovating the winter pool in Kotor, Sports Minister Nikola Janovic announced.
He visited today the elementary school ,, Narodni heroj Savo Ilic "in Kotor, where together with students, teachers, school director Nebojša Kuc and the president of the Kotor municipality Vladimir Jokic, symbolically opened a renovated school sports ground, in which it was reconstructed, through the donation of the Chinese Embassies in Montenegro, the Ministry of Sports has invested more than 20 thousand euros.
Janovic, as announced at the Ministry of Sports, talked with Jokic and reconstruction of the pool - the current burning problem of Kotor sport.
The Minister has assessed that it is of paramount importance for the Kotor, and thus for the Montenegrin water polo, to have the pool function as soon as possible.
"The Ministry of Sports and myself, in intensive communication with the Directorate of Public Works, and the latest information we received is that the State Commission for the Control of Public Procurement Procedures, after the third appeal, completely annulled the tender for the performance of the second phase works, after which Yesterday, on the public procurement portal, new tender documentation was published, "the minister said.
The new tender, estimated value of four million euros, includes the remaining works on the facility, in accordance with the project documentation, and the public opening of tenders will be held on July 10th.
Jokic said that the Municipality is ready to help in the expectation that after the tender procedure has ended, all sides are sitting together at the table, "so that everyone can help complete the reconstruction of the pool as soon as possible, and the Kotor Waterpolo gets its home".
"The Municipality of Kotor on the same day as the tender is completed and the contractor selected, to allow all works on the territory of the Municipality of Kotor in connection with the pool, despite the prohibition of works in that period, so that the Kotor municipality is ready to logistically and financially assist the reconstruction of the pool as would be happy to have opened the pool as soon as possible, "Jokic said.
In the project of renovated halls and terrains
The renovation of the school ground in Kotor is the last of the four school sports facilities covered by the investment of the Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China in Montenegro, with which the donation contract was worth more than 112 thousand euros, the Ministry of Sports signed on 21 June 2017.
Janovic reminded that this was a project "Affirmation of School Sports", in which the gymnasium of Cetinje Gymnasium, the Kotor High School of Maritime Schools and the Pljevlja Elementary School "Ristan Pavlovic" have been renovated so far, in order to improve, he said. conditions in the teaching of physical education, and children and youth are encouraged to do as much as possible in sports-recreational activities.
"Since its inception, the Ministry of Sports has invested in the renovation of school sports facilities, starting from the adaptation, rehabilitation and reconstruction of fiscal clusters, sports fields, auxiliary rooms and dressing rooms, to the reconstruction and expansion of stands and the purchase of sports equipment and equipment, Montenegro wants to improve its existing and build a new school sports infrastructure, which will be in the function of the highest quality school sport development, "Janovic said.
