SARAJEVO - The agreement on the implementation of public procurement of police equipment and weapons for the needs of police bodies of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Border Police of BiH and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH was signed today at the headquarters of the Police Support Agency in Sarajevo. The agreement was signed by Director of the Police Support Agency Husein Nanic, Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency Perica Stanic, Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Mirsad Vilic and authorized representative of the Border Police of BiH Zoran Galic. The Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektic, also attended the signing ceremony. This agreement determines the method of cooperation and procedures for procurement of police equipment and weapons by the Police Support Agency for BiH police bodies. The agreement also resulted in the conclusions of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the BiH Audit Office for ensuring the functioning of the system of joint procurement for police agencies at the BiH level, ie it was made possible for the Police Support Agency to perform its mandate related to the implementation of unified procurement of police equipment and weapons . This is especially important because integrated procurement of police equipment and weapons will enable significant savings and increase the level of transparency in the implementation of public procurement procedures. The agreement itself is the result of the work of the working group appointed by the Police Support Agency, which was made by representatives of all of the BiH police bodies to which the agreement applies, the BiH Police Support Agency said. Following the signing of the Agreement, the signatories expressed their satisfaction with the agreement reached, thanked the members of the working group for the task, and gave full support to the efforts of the BiH Police Support Agency to fully exercise its competence in conducting tender procedures for certain equipment for police bodies of BiH and the realization of future joint activities. |
