Production milestone for 1.1GW Scottish wind farm project Dajin has completed the first three monopiles for the Inch Cape offshore wind farm in Scotland. Earlier this year, Dajin marked the official start of the project with the first steel cut at its Penglai facility in China. These monopiles (pictured) feature a maximum outer diameter of 11.5 metres, with the final delivery of the foundations scheduled for the end of 2025. A spokesperson for Dajin said: “We are honoured to contribute to Inch Cape offshore wind farm, one of the largest offshore wind farms in Scotland. “A heartfelt thank you to Inch Cape Offshore Limited for placing their trust in us as a key supplier. “Looking ahead, Dajin will continue to accelerate its strategic presence in the UK and EU. “By combining our manufacturing expertise with technical know-how and proven project experience, we will continue to support clients in building greener, low-carbon, and sustainable supply chains.” The 1.1GW Inch Cape project is a joint venture between ESB and Red Rock Renewables. It will feature 72 wind turbines in the North Sea, 15km off the Angus coast. Once operational, the project is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than half the homes in Scotland. |
