Procurement News Notice

PNN 100922
Work Detail The national government launched Phase III of the privatization process for the National Road Network, calling for new public hearings with the goal of awarding concessions to nearly 4,000 kilometers of roads. Among the sections included is National Route 7, specifically the 329.09-kilometer stretch that connects Desaguadero with Cristo Redentor Pass. These hearings are part of the restructuring of the operation and maintenance system for the roads currently managed by the state-owned company Corredores Viales SA. The Executive Branch seeks to replace this system with concessions under the control of the National Road Authority, which will assume the role of technical and contractual supervision, without public subsidies. Resolution 924/2025, published in the Official Gazette, establishes that the process seeks greater competition, transparency, and efficiency. During the hearings, interested parties may submit proposals and opinions on the bidding documents. Although these are not binding, any rejected observations must be justified by the National Highway Directorate (DNV). Public participation will run from June 30th to July 7th, with in-person sessions in Mendoza, Tucumán, Chaco, and Entre Ríos. Those interested can register between June 8th and 28th using a form on the National Highway Administration website. The routes included in this phase are located in key regions of the country: Cuyo, Centro, Litoral, and Norte. They cover provinces such as Mendoza, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Tucumán, Chaco, Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Misiones, Salta, Jujuy, and Santiago del Estero. Among the sections already discussed in previous phases are National Route 174 (Rosario-Victoria Bridge) and Mesopotamian corridors such as Routes 12, 14, 117, and 135. The deterioration of national highways has been a source of complaints in recent months, citing problems that cause accidents, economic losses, and logistical delays. With this new concession scheme, the Government hopes to improve the condition of the roads without compromising Treasury funds and to promote road development with sustained maintenance standards.
