Work Detail The United States continues to dominate the solar tracker structure market, with Nextracker securing the top spot worldwide by 2024. The global solar tracker market had a record year in 2024, with 111 GW of product shipments, according to Wood Mackenzie. This represents a 20% year-over-year growth in ground-mount solar tracker system shipments. Nextracker maintained its position as the top global supplier for the tenth consecutive year, shipping 28.5 GW, equivalent to approximately 26% of the global market share. The company recorded year-over-year growth of 39% in 2024. Other global market share leaders included Arctech Solar, Gamechange Solar, PV Hardware, and Array Technologies. Arctech Solar, the largest China-based tracker supplier, climbed the market share rankings, surpassing Array, GameChange, and PV Hardware. The company ranked second in the Saudi Arabian and Indian markets, which together accounted for 28 GW of tracker demand, surpassing the entire European market by 2024. Chinese suppliers increased their focus on overseas supply due to a decline in domestic tracker demand for the second consecutive year. “The year was marked by rapid growth in the follower markets in India and Saudi Arabia, which led to a shift in the US-dominated podium starting in 2023,” said Joe Shangraw, a research associate at Wood Mackenzie. The U.S. tracker market shrank for the first time in eight years, with shipments reaching 33 GW, down 9% from its record year of 2023. GameChange Solar ranked second among U.S. suppliers, surpassing Array Technologies, which saw domestic shipments drop more than 35% in 2024, according to Wood Mackenzie. The top three vendors—Nextracker, GameChange, and Array—accounted for over 90% of the US domestic market. While the US tracker market is highly concentrated, the European market remains competitive and diverse, with more than nine vendors capturing between 5% and 15% of the market share, according to Wood Mackenzie.
