The National University of Cuyo (UNCuyo) has decided to temporarily suspend a public bidding process for the installation of a fire protection system on its campus. The bidding process, scheduled for June 11 at 11:00 a.m., has been officially postponed due to a review of the technical project. The measure was announced this Monday through the Official Gazette of Mendoza, which specified that the postponement is due to the need to make adjustments and reconsiderations in the projects design. The university did not provide further details on the scope of the changes that prompted this decision, although this is a critical stage in any infrastructure bidding process related to building safety. The installation of a fire protection system is part of the regulatory requirements established for public institutions that host high traffic, especially in academic and administrative buildings. Once the corresponding technical reviews are completed, UNCuyo is expected to publish a new call for proposals, adjusted to the revised terms of the bidding document. This pause in the process aims to ensure that the final project meets current technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
