Work Detail The Santa Fe government has launched a tender to build a BMX and skate track complex in the city of Rafaela , as part of the 2026 Odesur Games , where the city will be one of the sub-venues. The works will require an investment of more than $2.819 billion and the bid opening ceremony will take place on June 25 . The new sports facility will be built on a 22,100 m² site , located behind the UNRaf campus , in the same area where the International Velodrome will be built . The project includes the construction of four world-class tracks : BMX Race , BMX Freestyle (Park) , Skate Bowl (Park) , and Skate Street , with their respective complementary areas: changing rooms, restrooms, technical rooms, storage rooms, offices, and logistics areas. Removable stands for 2,500 people , emergency access, and a central institutional plaza will also be installed, linking the complexs various spaces. Key technical features: BMX Race Track Length: 393.28 meters Two starters: one male (8 m high) and one female (5 m) Track width: 10 m Layout: 4 straights, 3 banked curves, surface with non-slip paint Obstacles: multiple Double Top and Speed ??Jumps Complies with the International Cycling Union (UCI) standards BMX Freestyle Track (Park) Surface area: 1,728 m² Obstacles: Jump Box, Spine Ramp, Hip, Curve Wall, Chicago (up to 5 m high) Materials: Plywood panels on a metal frame, with a non-slip finish Approved by the UCI for international competitions Pista Skate Bowl (Park) Interior surface: 1,152 m² Obstacles: Volcano with spine (1.40 m), extensions up to 2.20 m Meets World Skate standards Street Skate Track Surface: 1,335 m² Pavement: troweled reinforced concrete Quarter Pipe Zones with a radius of 2.25 m Designed for elite competitions under World Skate standards The construction period will be 270 calendar days from the date of signing the contract. All slopes are designed to international standards, which will make the complex a new benchmark for extreme sports in the region . In addition to its role in the Odesur Games, the venue seeks to establish itself as a public space open to the community, allowing for the professional and amateur practice of emerging disciplines such as BMX and skateboarding , in an environment with high-quality urban facilities.
