| Work Detail | Following the conclusion of the Conference of Services with the favorable opinion of all the parties involved, the Technical Economic Feasibility Project (PFTE) was approved regarding the mitigation of the hydrogeological risk from km 114+400 to km 116+300 approximately of the Palermo-Agrigento railway line, Campofranco-Comitini section. The Whole Life Cost (WLC) of the intervention approved in the CdS is equal to approximately 8 million euros . The intervention involves the construction of a floodway for the Occhiobianco Torrent (also known as Cantarella Torrent) with the reduction of the hydraulic risk for the railway site currently subject to overflow phenomena by the water level of the river branch at the river crossings. The intervention to mitigate the hydraulic risk is completed with complementary works to mitigate the visual impact. |
