The Gold Creek Dam, Located Just Outside Of Cranbrook, Bc Is Owned And Operated By The City. The Dam Is Approximately 100 Years Old And Is Not Currently Being Used For Water Storage Due To Structural Concerns. In Order To Meet Future Demands, The City Has Undertaken A Raw Water Storage Capacity Analysis As Well As The Design Of A New Dam At The Same Location As The Existing Dam.The City Of Cranbrook Has Prepared For The Final Design And Construction Of Dam Upgrades To Meet Future Water Demands And Adapt To A Changing Water Supply. Activities That Have Been Completed Or Are Currently Underway Include The Following:Complete Design Criteria. Complete Field Investigations Including Topographic Survey, Geotechnical And Archeological Assessment.Complete Design Of The Gold Creek Dam.
