Tenders are invited for Curriculum Development Consultant Financial and Market Resilience in Recovery Periods. CARE Overview CARE established its presence in Lebanon in 2006 and has been responding to the Syrian Crisis since late 2012.Among CAREs key imperatives is putting people it serves first through implementing cutting edge programming in areas it operates.CARE currently carries out activities in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Akkar, North Lebanon, South Lebanon, and the Beqaa Valley. CARE implements both emergency and development projects contributing to livelihood, food security, protection, gender, shelter, and water, sanitation, and hygiene. It targets the most vulnerable people and populations, both host communities and refugees.Over the course of 7 years, it has supported over than half a million beneficiaries. In Lebanon, CAREs program strategy for the upcoming years will focus on strengthening and expanding its emergency response and capacity to provide basic assistance services while pursuing development projects in areas of food security and livelihood support, gender, and protection. CARE intends to maintain its presence in all areas of Lebanon. CARE Lebanon has scaled up rapidly over the past few years and today it has about 90 staff members, with more than 15 different local/international partner organizations. 90% of the team is composed of national staff, with a symbolic number of international members. Project overview As part of an agricultural training initiative, our organization is conducting structured training sessions for farmers across various regions in Lebanon. The objective is to improve farming practices and enhance productivity among smallholder farmers. The project will engage 100 groups, each composed of 20 farmers, participating in 10 training sessions per group totaling 1,000 sessions and reaching 2,000 farmers. Objective To design 1 days training curriculum (4 hours) in Arabic and English Language and one 2-minute video scripts for farmer-level financial management during recovery. The curriculum that will be developed will focus on theoretical training aligned with the Ministrys identified needs and gaps. Responsibilities · Design and develop a comprehensive training curriculum based on the ministry of agriculture identified priorities and observed gaps. Draft farmer friendly video script (approx. 2 minutes) summarizing key messages from the curriculum. Draft video scripts with clear, simplified tips for farmers. · Conduct coordination meetings with the Ministry and implementing partners during curriculum development and roll-out · Develop evaluation tools, including pre- and post- training assessments to measure knowledge gain and training effectiveness. Required Qualifications · Degree in Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. · Strong knowledge of market-based approaches to livelihood recovery. · At least 5 years experience in relevant field. · Familiarity with local Lebanese farming systems. · Expertise in Curriculum development/ researchs · Experience with participatory adult learning methods. Reporting The Consultant will report directly to CAREs Senior Project Officer and provide monthly updates on implementation progress and tool performance.
