Expression of Interest for Competitiveness and Growth of SMEs in the EU Food Supply Chain. The objective of this contract is to provide an in-depth analyses of the competitiveness of agri-food sector SMEs, with a specific focus on barriers and enablers for commercialization both within the EU Single Market and internationally, the financial and operational challenges SMEs face when starting and scaling their business activities, and access to finance and cross-border investments, particularly in advanced technologies. The analyses will rely on information collected through semi-structured interviews and/or focus groups with relevant respondents and evidence available in the literature and public statistical sources. The analyses should primarily be qualitative, emphasising quantitative data wherever feasible.
