Tenders are invited for Consultancy for Writing Articles on Urban Issue in Phnom Penh Objective The purpose of this consultancy is to write 10 short articles related to urban issue in Phnom Penh. Note: The topics can be changed if necessary, upon agreement with the consultant. 3. Methods and Activities The consultant(s) will work at STTs offices and at times remotely as appropriate throughout the consultancy, which is expected to last produce two articles per months. When working from STTs premises, STT will offer office space and facilities, including a Wi-Fi connection. The consultant is expected to use certain methodologies as stated below: Collaborate with STT to develop a research outline that aligns with the objectives of each article. Conduct literature reviews of existing studies and papers on the relevant topics. Perform field visits, interviews, surveys, desk research, and case studies, while incorporating quotes and gathering corporate data for the articles. If necessary, conduct in-depth interviews with members of the private sector, government officials, journalists, and experts. 4. Expected Outcome and Deliverable The consultant(s) will submit to STT: A final proposal including: article outline, work plan, and budget prior to the commencement of work. Completed the final version of 10 articles (Around 600 words to 1500 words per article) in Khmer and English. 5 to 10 photos should be submitted for each article (these photos must be taken by the consultant. Support team from STT The consultant(s) will work closely with Community Action Research Project Manager (CARPM), Human Resource and Admin Manager (HRAM). Key contacts are as follows: 6. Duration and Place of Work This consultancy will commence as soon as possible, and the duration of the contract will be 5 months per 10 articles. Specific duration will be stated in the service agreement once the consultancy is offered. 7. Consultancy Fee The consultant will be paid at the competitive rate, including tax. 8. Required qualifications of the Consultant(s) STT is looking for consultant(s) with the following qualifications: Experience in producing an article or similar; Exceptional English writing skills; Understanding of the Cambodian legal and economic landscapes; Experience in investigative journalism is a plus; Ability to adhere to deadlines and flexibility; Highly effective team player; Good communication skills; Khmer speaker is an advantage. 9.
