The Wildwood Curling Arena Is Used Extensively During The Winter And Summer Seasons And Needs Repair And Renewal. The Concrete Slab On Which The Ice Surface Exists Is Presently Cracking In Numerous Areas Causing Heaving. Slab Movement May Result In Breaking Refrigeration Pipes Embedded In The Slab. Uneven Ice Surface Caused By Slab Heaving Makes The Refrigeration Plant Work More Difficult And Is Shortening Its Lifespan. Boards And Gates Require Continued Adjustment And Ice Surface Preparation Is More Difficult, Causing Higher Operational Costs.The Project Will Commence Early In The Spring To Ensure That The Slab Will Have Adequate Curing Time To Be Ready For The Curling Season In Fall 2025. This Rfp Will Be For The Design-Build Project To Replace The Current Rink Slab And Walkways.
