Telemetry Equipment – Purchase Of Ultrasonic Transmitters And Equipment For Direct Monitoring Of Wild Sturgeon Tagged With Ultrasonic Transmitters.. Purchase Of Ultrasonic Transmitters And Equipment For Direct Monitoring Of Wild Sturgeon Tagged With Ultrasonic Transmitters. Through The National Recovery And Resilience Plan 2020 – 2026, Pillar I Green Transition, Component 2 Forests And Biodiversity Protection, Investment 4.4., Program Coordinated By The Ministry Of Environment, Water And Forests, According To Financing Agreement No. 6878/23.08.2022, The National Research And Development Institute For Environmental Protection Bucharest Ensures The Satisfactory Completion Of The Project Entitled Implementation Of A Monitoring System For Wild Sturgeons Along The Lower Danube, Investment 4. Integrated Investments For Ecological Reconstruction Of Habitats And Conservation Of Species Related To Meadows, Aquatic And Water-Dependent Areas, Sub-Investment 4.4. Implementation Of A Wild Sturgeon Monitoring System Along The Lower Danube, Component 2: Forests And Biodiversity Protection, Code C2/I4.4, Subactivity 4.2 - Acquisition Of Ultrasonic Transmitters And Equipment For Direct Monitoring Of Wild Sturgeon Tagged With Ultrasonic Transmitters , Respectively The Activities Related To Milestone 39 – The Operationalized Monitoring, Communication And Data Transmission Network Of Wild Sturgeons. To Carry Out The Project, The National Research And Development Institute For Environmental Protection Needs A Purchase Of Ultrasonic Transmitters And Equipment For Direct Monitoring Of Wild Sturgeon Tagged With Ultrasonic Transmitters. According To The Volume Of Information Held By The National Research And Development Institute For Environmental Protection (Over 10 Years Of In-Situ Monitoring Of Wild Sturgeon, Marked With Ultrasonic Transmitters) Regarding The Problem Of Poaching Along The Danube By Fishermen, It Shows That Over 70 % Of Sturgeons Were Caught Illegally, Losing An Important Volume Of Scientific Information On The Behavior Of This Endangered Species During The Migration From The Black Sea To The Iron Gates And Vice Versa. From The Country Reports To The European Commission Based On Art. 17 Of The Habitats Directive 92/43/Eec, It Follows That The Conservation Situation Of Sturgeon Species Is Critical. Another Problem That Can Have A Catastrophic Impact On The Sturgeon Population Is Related To The Effects Of Climate Change In The Sense That The Variation In Drought Periods And Global Warming Affects The Breeding And Migration Seasons Of Sturgeons. According To The European Biodiversity Conservation Strategy 2030, Bycatch/Poaching (During The Ban) Of The Endangered Sturgeon Population Must Be Eliminated Or Reduced To A Level That Allows The Stocks To Fully Recover. The Ban On Sturgeon Species In The Lower Danube Since 2006 Has Not Yielded Significant Results, Which Is Why The Development Of A National Reform Of Correction Against Poaching Is Necessary,
