The Subject Of The Order Is To Prepare A Conservation Work Program, Obtain The Necessary Approvals And Perform Works On The Facility. Project Co-Financed By The Government Fund Polish Order: Monument Reconstruction Program. The Subject Of The Investment Is The Renovation Of Edward Reszkes Grave. The Facility In Question Is Entered In The Register Of Monuments Under Number A-428. The Grave Is Located In The Karpiński And Michalski Family Tomb. The Facility Is Located On The Hill Of The Cemetery In Borowna. It Was Made In The Neo-Gothic Style. There Is A Pedestal With A Cross On The Slab That Is The Ceiling Of The Tomb, And The Whole Thing Is Surrounded By An Openwork Fence. Decorative Elements Such As The Fence And The Cross Were Made With Decorations Closely Referring To Gothic Architectural Details Such As Pointed Arches, Rosettes, Pinnacles, And Buttresses. The Entrance To The Tomb Is Located At The Front Of The Slab, Covered With A Double Flap Mounted On Decorative Hinges. There Is An Inscription On The Cover: Grave Of The Karpiński And Michalski Family. Later, A Horizontal Granite Plaque With The Inscription Edward Reszke 1853-1917, World-Famous Opera Singer Was Placed Next To It. The Condition Can Be Described As Poor. The Aim Of Conservation Works Will Be To Restore The Original Aesthetic And Technical Values Of The Facility. The Main Task Will Be To Protect The Facility Against Further Destructive Effects Of Atmospheric Factors. It Was Assumed That The Mechanical Damage Would Be Repaired, The Sculptural Form Would Be Repaired And The Object Would Be Operated Under Outdoor Exposure Conditions. It Was Decided To Use Techniques Similar To The Original Ones To Reconstruct The Defects In The Sculptural Form (Supplementing The Missing Elements - Reconstructions Made In The Form Of Iron Castings). The Scope Of Work On The Concrete Slab And Side Walls Of The Tomb Included Repairing The Damage And Protecting The Facility Against Repeated Attacks By Microorganisms. It Is Also Planned To Build An Additional Foundation For The Ceiling And Build A New Ceiling. The Tombstone Should Be Covered With Stone Cladding (Sandstone, Granite Or Other In Accordance With The Decision Of The Conservator Of Monuments). The Tombstone Is Currently In Danger Of Collapse. For These Reasons, We Would Like To Undergo A Thorough Renovation. The Works Will Consist In Updating The Documentation, Strengthening The Foundations, Making A New Concrete Slab, Covering It With Slabs (Marble, Granite Or Sandstone), Sandblasting And Preserving The Cast Iron Obelisk And Decorative Fence, As Well As Tidying Up The Surroundings (Greenery, Paving Stones).
