Scope Of Workd3.1 The Work To Be Done Under The Contract Shall Consist Of Two Parts:(A) Part 1 &Ndash; City Funded Work; And(B) Part 2 &Ndash; Manitoba Hydro Funded Work.Part 1 &Ndash; City Funded Workd3.2 Part 1 &Ndash; City Funded Work Shall Consist Of:D3.2.1 Grant Avenue(A) Pavement Rehabilitation:(I) Grant Avenue Eastbound From Rockwood Street To Stafford Street; And(Ii) Grant Avenue Westbound From Stafford Street To Harrow Street.D3.2.2 Taylor Avenue(A) Asphalt Reconstruction:(I) Taylor Avenue Westbound From Lindsay Street To Centennial Street;(B) Pavement Rehabilitation:(I) Taylor Avenue Eastbound From Renfrew Street To Lindsay Street.Part 2 &Ndash; Manitoba Hydro Funded Workd3.3 Part 2 &Ndash; Manitoba Hydro Funded Work Shall Consist Of:D3.3.1 Taylor Avenue(A) Street Lighting And Associated Works:(I) Taylor Avenue Westbound From Lindsay Street To Centennial Street.D3.4 The City Currently Has No Approved Funding In The Capital Budget For Part 2 Of Thework, But Is Anticipating Receiving Notification About Funding From The Manitoba Hydro By Late May.Part 2 Of The Work Is Contingent Upon The Manitoba Hydro Approving Sufficient Funding.D3.4.1 Further To C7.1, If Notice Of Sufficient Funding Is Not Received, The City Shallhave The Right To Eliminate All Or Any Portion Of Part 2, And The Contract Price Will Be Reducedaccordingly.D3.4.2 Further To C7.5, C7.5.1, And C7.6, A Reduction In The Contract Price Pursuant Tod3.4.1 Shall Not Be Considered In Calculating The Aggregate Reduction In The Contract Price Forpurposes Of C7.5.D3.4.3 If All Or Any Portion Of Part 2 Is Eliminated Pursuant To D3.4.1, The Timeperiods Stipulated In D23 For Substantial Performance Of The Work And In D24 For Total Performanceof The Work Will Be Reduced Proportionally By The Contract Administrator Acting Reasonably.D3.5 The Major Components Of The Work Are As Follows:(A) Asphalt Pavement Reconstruction:(I) Removal Of Existing Pavement;(Ii) Construction Of Temporary Asphalt Widening And Crossovers;(Iii) Excavation;(Iv) Installation Of Streetlights And Associated Infrastructure;(V) Installation Of Traffic Signal Underground Conduit, Bases, And Pits;(Vi) Manhole Repairs;(Vii) Installation Of Catch Basins And Sewer Service Pipe;(Viii) Installation Of Subdrains;(Ix) Compaction Of Existing Sub-Grade;(X) Repairs To Existing Mainline Sewers And Manholes;(Xi) Placement Of Separation/Filtration Geotextile Fabric And Class A Geogrid;(Xii) Placement Of Sub-Base And Base Course (Granular A) Materials;(Xiii) Adjustment Of Existing Pavement Appurtenances;(Xiv) Construction Of Two Hundred (200) Millimetres (Mm) Reinforced Pavements At Approaches Andtie-Ins;(Xv) Construction Of Monolithic Concrete Barrier Curb With Splash Strip For Asphalt Pavement(One Hundred Eighty (180) Mm Height), Concrete Barrier Curb For Asphalt Pavement, And Modifiedbarrier Curb;(Xvi) Construction Of Concrete Median Slabs And Bullnoses;(Xvii) Construction Of Splash Strip;(Xviii) Construction Of One Hundred (100) Mm Concrete Sidewalk With Block Outs For Paving Stoneindicator Surface;(Xix) Installation Of Paving Stones;(Xx) Construction Of Asphalt Pathways;(Xxi) Renewal Of Existing Sidewalk;(Xxii) Completion Of Boulevard Grading;(Xxiii) Placement Of Asphalt Pavement (Type Sp1 Thickness Fifty (50) Mm (One (1) Lift), Typesp2 Thickness One Hundred Twenty (120) Mm (Two (2) Lifts)); And(Xxiv) Installation Of Topsoil And Sod;(B) Pavement Rehabilitation:(I) Planing Of Existing Asphalt Overlay As Required;(Ii) Catch Basin And Catch Basin Lead Repairs;(Iii) Repairs To Existing Mainline Sewers And Manholes;(Iv) Installation Of Traffic Signal Underground Conduit, Bases, And Pits;(V) Adjustment Of Existing Pavement Appurtenances;(Vi) Full Depth (Two Hundred Thirty (230) Mm Reinforced) Concrete Repairs Of Existing Slabs Andjoints;(Vii) Renewal Of Curbs, Curb Ramps, Bullnoses, Sidewalks, And Miscellaneous Concrete Slabs Asrequired;(Viii) Installation Of Directional Bar Tiles;(Ix) Completion Of Boulevard Grading;(X) Installation Of Topsoil And Sod;(Xi) Asphalt Patching Over Full Depth Concrete Repairs; Placement Of Mainline Asphalt Overlay(Average Thickness Eighty (80) Mm) Utilizing Automatic Grade Control For Final Lift; And(Xii) Placement Of Tie-In Asphalt Overlay For Project Limits And Private Approaches.
