The Products Are Imperatively Necessary For The Implementation Of The Activities Of The Dynamic Interactive Membranes -Toward Adaptive Selection Of Functions (Evolution) Project, Project Code: Cf16/11.11.2022. The Products Are Used Within The Project Activities, Ensuring As A Result Of Their Contracting And Delivery, The Performance Of The Specific Project Development Activities To An Appropriate Standard. The Evolution Project Cf16/11.11.2022, Contract No. 760033/23.05.2023 Aims To Obtain Dynamic Membranes Capable Of Structural And Functional Adaptability In Response To Internal Or External Stimuli. The Project Is Based On The Exploration Of Multivalent Molecular Recognition And Self-Assembly By Using Constitutionally Adaptive Platforms. Using Reversible Interactions As Dynamic Interfaces Between Components Will Allow Self-Tuning Of System Properties. The Main Objective Is To Create A New Generation Of Interactive, Functional Membranes Capable Of Adapting To External Stimuli Or Internal Constitutional Evolution, Opening The Way To Applications In Emerging Fields Complementary To Chemistry And Environmental Science. Two Applications Are Considered: Permeable Membranes For Gas Separation And Carbon Capture And Sequestration (Ccs) And Robust Membranes, Including Water Channels, For Water Desalination, Reuse And Purification. Considering The High Permeability And Flexibility Of Elastic Polymers, The Project Aims To Use Rubbery Organic Frameworks (Rofs) As Alternative Membrane Materials With Applications In Ccs. Also, Based On Our Experience In Transposing Supramolecular Ion Channels And Artificial Water Channels (Awcs) In Macroscopic Membranes, We Propose New Methods [E.G. Artificial Water Channels (Awcs) Physically Embedded In Thin-Film Polymers Or The Chemical Synthesis Of Polymers Functionalized With Awcs And Their Deposition On Various Membrane Supports] For The Fabrication Of Robust Membranes Useful In Water Desalination, Reuse And Purification. The Nanofiltration (Nf) And Reverse Osmosis (Ro) Device Is Indispensable For The Characterization Of The Nf And Ro Membranes That Will Be Manufactured Within The Project. Obtaining Nanofiltration And/Or Reverse Osmosis Membranes Is One Of The Central Objectives Of The Project And A Current Topic Worldwide. The Identification Of Efficient Nf And Ro Membranes Is The First Step For Water Treatment Applications Used In Various Fields Such As Agriculture, The Pharmaceutical Industry Or Biotechnologies. Nanofiltration Membranes Can Be Used To Remove Impurities, Sediments, Chemical Effluents, Including Some Toxic Substances. Reverse Osmosis Membranes Are Used To Remove Salts And Some Pollutants From Water And Find Application, For Example, In The Desalination Process Of Seawater Or In The Treatment Of Waste Water.
