Associate Programme Monitoring Officer The Monitoring And Evaluation Officer Will Be Based In The Unhcr Sub-Office In Bassikounou And Will Be Under The Joint Supervision Of The Unhcr-Giz Joint Project Coordinator (External Relations Officer) And Program Monitoring Officer Based In Nouakchott . The Incumbent Will Be Part Of A Specific Team Dedicated To The Joint Project With Giz, While Creating Synergies With Other Unhcr Programs Across The Operation. He Will Work Closely With The Program Units Of The Sub-Office And The National Office As Well As With The Giz Staff Appointed In Bassikounou. The Unhcr Handbook, Unhcr Corporate And Regional Strategic Priorities, Plans Of Operation And Other Relevant Institutional Rules And Regulations Will Guide The Work Of The Incumbent. The Un Volunteer Will Perform The Following Tasks: • Contribute To The Development And Implementation Of Unhcrs Strategy And Results Monitoring System (Impact, Results, Outputs) On Protection And Solutions; • Monitor And Report On Indicators Of The Joint Unhcr-Giz Project, Including Identifying Lessons Learned; • Contribute To The Development And Implementation Of Monitoring Plans For All Implementation Modalities (Partnerships, Direct Implementation, Operational Partners) Ensuring Consistency Of Unhcr Monitoring Activities And Taking Into Account Age, Gender And Diversity In Monitoring; • Assist In Setting Up Monitoring And Tracking Systems For Indicators, Support Teams On Data Collection Methodologies And Sources, Aggregation Of Age, Gender And Diversity Data And Reporting And Sharing Of Data Based On Agreed Protocols And Standards, Data And Information Management Designated For The Project; • Assist In Coordination To Create Consistency On Monitoring Standards, Plans, Tools, Indicators And Resources Across Unhcr And Project Partners And Ensure That Monitoring Actions Are Grounded In The Principles And Approaches Of Protection And Solutions; • Assist Senior Management In Monitoring Results And Possible Remedial Actions, Monitoring Management Decisions And Follow-Up Actions And Communicating Monitoring Results To Giz And Other Key Development Partners And Stakeholders; • Support The Multi-Functional Team In Planning And Conducting Follow-Up Activities And Support The Planning Of Follow-Up Visits, Documentation Of Results And Follow-Up Of Follow-Up Recommendations. • Compile, Review And Analyze Partner And Team Monitoring Reports And Data, Ensuring Quality Assurance And Adherence To Established Policies, Guidelines, Procedures And Standards. Produce Regular Monitoring And Progress Reports. • Support Unhcr And Partner Staff In Applying Unhcr Results-Based Management Monitoring Standards And Procedures. • Use Unhcr Corporate Tools (Eg Compass, Global Focus Insight) And Existing Guidelines For Basic Activities Related To Monitoring. • Carry Out Other Related Tasks As Required. In Addition To The Above, Un Volunteers Are Expected To: • Strengthen Their Knowledge And Understanding Of The Concept Of Volunteerism By Reading Unv Materials, External Publications And Actively Participating In Unv Activities, For Example Getting Involved In Activities Commemorating International Volunteer Day (Ivd) On 5 December. • Become Familiar With And Develop Any Form Of Traditional And/Or Local Volunteering At The Level Of The Host Country. • Reflect The Type And Nature Of The Voluntary Actions They Undertake, Including Their Participation In Substantive Reflections. • Contribute To The Writing Of Articles On Field Experiences To Be Submitted For The Publication Of The Unv Program / Website, Bulletin And Press Notes, Etc. • Contribute To The Welcome Program For Un Volunteers Newly Arrived In The Country Of Assignment; • Promote Or Advise Local Groups In The Use Of Online Volunteers Or Encourage Individuals And Organizations To Use Online Volunteer Services When Technically Possible. . Expected Results: • Support The Operation In Improving M&E Frameworks In General And With A Focus On The Pronexus Project • Contribute To Global Program M&E By Providing Timely Inputs And Increasing Cross-Organizational Learning • Support The Roll-Out Of Unhcrs New Results-Based Management Tool, Com-Pass • Contribute To The Continuous Development And
