The Project Consists Of Replacing Approximately 225 Lf Of 72X44 Arch Metal Pipe That Is Failing Underneath Roberts Drive And The Parking/Walkways At The Centerpointe Suites Student Residence On The Campus Of The University Of West Georgia. The Project Will Include Replacement Of The Existing Storm Sewer Culvert With 54 Round High Density Polyethylene (Hdpe) Pipe And New Storm Drainage Structures, Tying Smaller Storm Sewer Lines To The Main Storm Pipe, Clearing And Grubbing, Saw-Cutting And Demolition Of Existing Pavements As Necessary For Removal And Replacement Of The Storm Sewer Culvert, Pavement And Curb Replacement, Sidewalk Replacement, Re-Striping Parking Lot And Roadway Striping Where Pavement Is Replaced To Match Existing Striping, Installation And Removal Of Temporary Construction Fencing Around Project Limits, And Erosion Control (Installation, Maintenance, And Removal), And Permanent Vegetative Stabilization. A Portion Of The Existing Arch Metal Pipe Is Planned To Be Abandoned In Place And Filled. There Are Several Utility Lines Within The Project Area That Are Critical To UwgS Infrastructure, So Care Must Be Taken By The Contractor To Work Around Those Utilities And Keeping Them Active During Construction. The Contractor Will Be Required To Maintain Good Communication And Coordination With Project Engineer, Uwg Project Manager, And City Engineer Throughout Construction Of The Project.
