Component 1 Scaling Up Landscape Restoration

This Component Aims To Scale Up Landscape Restoration Interventions In The Middle And Upper Shire River Basin While Enhancing The Livelihoods Of Small-Holder Farming Communities, Advisory Services And Capacity Building On Sustainable Landscape Management Practices, A Social Marketing Campaign To Influence Farmer Behavior With Respect To Adoption Of Sustainable Landscape Management Practices And Lastly Undertake Local-Level Participatory Land-Use Planning, Land Demarcation, Adjudication And Registration Of Land In The Target Area To Provide Security Of Tenure.

Component 2 Improving Watershed Services

This Component Aims To Maximize The Benefits People And Communities Obtain From Improved Watersheds As A Basis For Developing Institutional And Financing Mechanisms That Are Needed To Sustain Restoration Investments Beyond The Project Period. The Project Will Invest In Improving Watershed Services And Provision Of Selected Watershed Services And Also Enabling Infrastructure And Climate Information Services

Component 3 Technical And Project Management Support

This Will Finance Technical Assistance For Preparation And/Or Update Of Feasibility Studies, Detailed Engineering Designs, Environmental And Social Safeguard Documents And Tender Documents For Water Infrastructure Investments, Technical Assistance And Capacity Building On Biophysical And Ecological Monitoring, Impact Evaluations To Build The Evidence-Base And Project Management Support To The Multi-Sectoral Technical Team On Project Management, Financial Management, Procurement, Monitoring And Evaluation, And Environmental And Social Safeguards Implementation; And Incremental Operating Costs Associated With Day-To-Day Management Of The Project And For Coordination With Different Sectoral Agencies/Departments At National, District And Local Levels.

Consulting Services For Preparation Of Future Phases Of The Project;
Consulting Services For Design, Design Review, Construction Supervision Of 10 Irrigation Schemes And Water User Association (Wua) Establishment;
Consulting Services To Update Esia And EsmpS, And Rap Preparation For 10 Irrigation Schemes;
Consultancy Services To Conduct Feasibility Study And Detailed Designs Of Small And Medium Size Multipurpose Dams;
Consulting Services For Preparation Of The Esia And Rap For The Small And Medium Sized Multipurpose Dams;
Consulting Services For Detailed Design And Supervision Of 8 High Yielding Boreholes And Associated Irrigation Facilities;
Consultancy Services For Detailed Design And Construction Supervision Of Water Harvesting Structures;
Consulting Services For Preparation Of The Esia For The Water Harvesting Structures;
Consulting Services For Preparation And Updating Of Catchment Management Plans And Micro-Catchment Plans For Project Targeted Areas;
Consulting Services For Social Marketing; And
