Tenders are invited for Trainer for Disability Inclusion in Food Security Training. Closing Date: Saturday, 07. Nov 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Disability, Food & Nutrition, Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: < 1000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 4 days Nusaned is a humanitarian, community-based and volunteer organisation. We believe that the power to create change comes from working collaboratively. Nusaned does not engage in any political activity, and remains at equal distance from all religions. We support communities based on a non-biased, egalitarian and value-based needs assessment process. Our mission is to support under-served Lebanese communities to become self-sustaining by offering access to food security, building shelter and providing ongoing opportunities for productive economies. We do this through innovative and effective partnerships with communities as well as locally engaged, international organizations and donors. Nusaned adopts a zero-tolerance approach towards sexual exploitation and abuse. Nusaned holds a responsibility to protect people we work with, and who work for us, and will continuously strive to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse from occurring. Our actions are informed by a survivor-centred approach which means that the needs and wishes of survivors guide our response, that survivors are treated with dignity and respect, and the rights of survivors to privacy and support are prioritized Summary Background Persons with disabilities face higher food insecurity in crises, yet are often missed by assessments, registration lists, distribution sites and cash programmes. Nusaned is organising a two-day training on Disability Inclusion in Food Security for 2530 staff of food security actors (UN agencies, NGOs, Food Security Cluster partners and local authorities). The training is based on the Training Package on Disability-Inclusive Food Security in Humanitarian Action, developed by an inter-agency group led by Humanity & Inclusion, which operationalises the IASC Guidelines on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action. It will be delivered by trainers from Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), in line with the principle nothing about us without us. Objective of the assignment To recruit two trainers from OPDs to prepare and deliver the two-day training, so that participants can: Explain disability using a rights-based approach and identify the barriers persons with disabilities face in accessing food assistance Describe the IASC Guidelines, the four Must-Do Actions and the twin-track approach Identify practical ways to include disability in food security proposals Name key inclusion actions at each stage of the project cycle, working with OPDs The training is a first step that will inform further, needs-based capacity building. Scope of work: The trainers will work together, with technical support from WFPs disability inclusion officers. Draft materials (concept note, agenda, presentation, exercises and pre/post test) are already available and will be shared with the selected trainers. Preparation: review and adapt the draft materials to the Lebanese context and the participants profiles; finalise the session plan and timing; agree roles between the two trainers. Delivery: co-facilitate the two-day, in-person training (9:0016:00 each day), using participatory methods and making every activity accessible to participants with different disabilities. Evaluation and reporting: support the online pre/post test and evaluation; write a short training report (12 pages) with key findings, participants feedback and recommendations for follow-up capacity building.
