Tenders are invited for Assessing the Conflict Impacts on Farmers & Key Agricultural Market Systems in South Lebanon Closing Date: Sunday, 18. Oct 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: Consultancy SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is a French NGO, independent of all political, economic, ethnic and religious groups. For over 40 years, it has contributed to provide humanitarian assistance to populations that are victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs (water, food and shelter) and strengthening their resilience capacities. SI has been active in Lebanon since 20122013, when it began supporting Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese host families. Today it responds to the compounding effects of the economic crisis, displacement and conflict, working in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), shelter and infrastructure, and food security and agriculture (FSA) across North and South Lebanon. In the Bekaa, SI works through partners on FSA and livelihoods, including nature-based approaches such as agroecology and agroforestry. From its base in Saida, SI works in South Lebanon and Nabatiyeh, including in hard-to-reach areas, combining emergency assistance with recovery support. Through the IFSAN program, it provides food assistance, hot meals, nutrition and agricultural livelihoods recovery support. SI coordinates its work with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), the FSA Sector and other actors. This consultancy will provide Solidarités International (SI) with an evidence-based understanding of agricultural needs, market functionality, and market systems in South Lebanon and Nabatiyeh, to inform SIs emergency agricultural support to farmers and other market actors, including cooperatives. It will also establish a baseline against which the results of this support can be measured. SIs support is part of a wider effort by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food Security and Agriculture (FSA) Sector to support conflict-affected farmers, under which farming households receive a standard package worth USD 500 in cash, while other actors will deliver through in-kind modalities. The MoA maintains a register of an estimated 25,000 affected farmers; this register is shared with implementing agencies, including SI, and will inform beneficiary selection for this programme.
