The County Of Grande Prairie Is Requesting Bids From Qualified Contractors For The Construction Of A Multi-Use Asphalt Recreation Pad Located Within Whispering Ridge Park, At The Corner Of 154 Avenue And 106 Street. With A Project Budget Of Approximately $123,280.00.The Completed Pad Will Be Used For:- Seasonal Outdoor Skating During Winter Months;- Pickleball And Other Recreational Activities During Summer Months; And- Potential Future Installation Of Hockey Rink Boards Through Separate Future Funding Initiatives.Scope Of Workthe Work Includes, But Is Not Limited To:- Site Preparation- Site Review And Verification;- Utility Locates;- Removal And Disposal Of Topsoil And Unsuitable Material;- Excavation And Grading;- Site Leveling To Accommodate The Existing Slope;- Preparation And Compaction Of Subgrade; - Fine Grading And Shaping Of The Recreation Pad Surface; And- Geotextile Fabric And/Or Geogrid Reinforcement Where Required.Multi-Use Asphalt Padconstruction Of:- One 120 Ft X 60 Ft Asphalt Recreation Pad;- Granular Base Course;- Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Suitable For Recreational Use;- Surface Grading And Drainage Management;- Surface Finish Suitable For Seasonal Flooding And Skating Activities.Restoration- Final Grading;- Topsoil Placement And Seeding Of Disturbed Areas;- Cleanup And Restoration Of Work Areas Further Described In Section A Of The Itt Particulars (Appendix B) (The “Deliverables”).
