Tenders are invited for Legal Services for the EU Delegation to Kenya and the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) Nairobi Regional Office. The objective of the contract is to ensure that the Contracting Authority has timely access to qualified legal expertise and support to enable effective management of its operations in Kenya, including compliance with applicable legal requirements and mitigation of legal risks. The Contractor shall provide the services primarily under legal framework applicable in Kenya and where relevant shall consider the applicable European Union rules and instruments governing the operations of the Delegation and ECHO Nairobi Regional office. The general scope of the contract includes, but is not limited to: Employment and Labor Law; Commercial and Contractual Law matters including procurement contracts for services, supplies and works, lease agreements, insurance, contractual obligations, contract interpretation, contract management and related disputes; and Tax and Fiscal Law. The tender is open only to qualified and duly licensed/authorised entities for the performance of the services and must be able to prove this with valid documentation. The framework contract shall have a maximum duration of 48 months.
