Tenders are invited for Rehabilitation and Modernization of the Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant Capljina Project and contract description The objective of the project is to maintain the generation and pumping capability of the Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant apljina for at least 15 years and to increase its reliability and availability for the next operating period, with particular emphasis on the provision of ancillary services to the power system and on balancing new renewable energy sources. 2 The Employer intends to award one Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract covering the required design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning for the rehabilitation and modernization of the plant. The principal components include: replacement of control systems; replacement of turbine regulation systems; replacement of AC and DC auxiliary power supply systems; replacement of electromechanical indicators, measuring transducers, actuators and associated pipelines; and replacement of transformers for the plants own-consumption / auxiliary supply. The EPC Contract shall be governed by FIDICs Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build Contract, First Edition 1999 (FIDIC Yellow Book), as adapted by the Contract documents. Financing and bidding stage EPHZHB has received grant financing from KfW on behalf of the German Federal Government for implementation of the programme (KfW Procurement No. 512016). Contractual commitments and disbursements remain subject to the applicable financing arrangements. A prequalification procedure for this contract has already been carried out. The present notice concerns the bidding stage. The Invitation for Bids / Bidding Documents are issued to the firms prequalified in the preceding prequalification procedure. This publication does not reopen the prequalification process. In accordance with the two-stage procedure, the Bidding Documents are issued to the prequalified bidders.
