Instruments For Checking Physical Characteristics – Acquisition Of An Indenter – Scratch Device For The Mechanical Characterization Of Thin Layers. A Large Part Of The Materials Studied At Gremi Are In The Form Of Coatings Of A Few Tens Of Nanometers With Thicknesses Of Up To Two Micrometers. These Coatings Are Generally Based On Transition Metals, Purely Metallic Or Of The Oxide/Nitride Type. The Finest Of Them Can Be Made Up Of Carbon Nanostructures While Others Can Include Nanoparticle-Type Heterogeneities. More Recently, The Laboratory Has Been Interested In The Synthesis Or Surface Modification Of Porous Materials Such As Foams Or Disordered Carbons As Well As In The Development Of Soft Materials Such As Biological Materials. Currently, The Laboratory Does Not Have Equipment To Measure The Adhesion And Mechanical Properties Of The Surface Of These Materials.
