Harbor Construction Works – Construction Of The Cruise Department Sudas Harbors – Excavators. The Proposed Intervention Concerns The Execution Of Dredging In The Wider Sea Area Of ​​The Port Of Souda And Around The Extension Of The New Pier, With The Aim Of Ensuring A Useful Depth Of Up To 12.50 M. The Works Include The Formation Of The Required Functional Grades To Serve The New Pier And The Port, As Well As The Creation Of A Confined Aquatic Disposal (Cad) Cell To Manage Part Of The Dredges. Also In The Site Area Of The New Adrias Pier Extension Project, Which Will Be Implemented With Another Contract Entitled: Construction Of Souda Port Cruise Port Extension Of Adrias Pier, The Necessary Dredging Will Be Carried Out To Clean Up The Bottom By Excavating And Removing The On-Site Soil Material To A Thickness Of Approximately 5.0M, In Stages Following As Far As Possible The Bottom Relief. The Materials Resulting From The Dredging Are Characterized As Non-Hazardous And Inert And, In Accordance With The Approved Environmental Conditions, The Dredged Aggregate Will Be Disposed Of In An Approved Marine Disposal Area, While The Non-Hazardous Dredged Material Will Be Buried Within The Cad Cell And Covered With A Minimum 3 M Thick Layer Of Inert Materials.
