Tenders are invited for EnVision Radiator Panel EnVision is a Venus orbiter mission selected by ESAs Science Programme Committee as the fifth Medium-class mission in the Agencys Cosmic Vision plan. It will be the first mission to investigate Venus from its inner core to its upper atmosphere, characterising the interaction between its atmosphere, surface/subsurface and interior. It aims at providing a holistic view of Venus, studying the planets history, activity, and climate. EnVision is an ESA-led mission in partnership with NASA who are providing the VenSAR instrument, Deep Space Network support for critical mission phases and Aerobraking support. ESA is responsible for the mission, including procurement of the spacecraft and the launch vehicle together with the development of the ground segment (both to control the spacecraft, and for scientific purposes). As with most Science missions, the instruments are provided by Member States and International Partners contributions, with ESA providing several specific payload elements: the SRS dipole antenna; the MRO; the VenSpec-U detectors; the VenSpec-H detector and cooler assembly. Thales Alenia Space Italy, prime contractor for the programme, has been contracted by the European Space Agency (ESA) for the realization of the EnVision Satellite, building an industrial consortium in which OHB System AG, a subsidiary of the European space and technology group OHB SE, is responsible for the MTP-Bus. The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the Subcontractor for the EnVision Radiator Panels. Led by OHB System AG, the Contractor is responsible for the manufacturing of the fully equipped Radiator Panels for the EnVision Spacecraft. Within the Contractors responsibility is the application of the thermal hardware (heat pipes, OSRs, etc.), according to the specifications provided by OHB.
