Tenders are invited for Supply of Seed 4. Item Specifications Seeds should be genuine (for certified or quality declared heirloom seeds) and of acceptable quality as per the tender documents. All certified seeds should be sourced directly from a registered and reputable seed producing company. For certified seeds, the Supplier must a attach a copy of the Laboratory Seed Quality Certificate they obtained from the Seed Producing company/Grower they are dealing with if they are not the producer, (germination, moisture, purity results) for each crop variety being supplied: must be under the letterhead of the testing laboratory, identifying the seed variety and seed lot number, signed by the testing official, dated and stamped. Additionally, for all imported staple and legume certified seeds, the Supplier may be requested to provide phytosanitary certificates as deemed necessary by SP. All seeds should be in airtight hermetically sealed packages. For staple crops and grain, the unit package should be transparent, enabling visual inspections at delivery point. The package should display the details below: - Seed producing company name, and contact details - Crop/seed and variety name - Weight of the package - Seed lot number - Packaging and expiration dates - Germination and purity information - Clear cautionary statement with regards to pesticide treated seeds.
