Sep 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Shelter and Non-Food Items About the Tender: NRC, with funding from KfW Development Bank, is seeking to engage qualified contractors for the implementation of a Community Infrastructure Upgrade project aimed at improving water access in Maarakeh Village through borehole and solar systems upgrades (Al Ain & Al Gharb Boreholes). The project aims to address the key challenges related to water shortages faced by residents of Maarakeh Village in South Lebanon by improving access to, and enhancing the reliability of, the water supply system. The scope of works includes the upgrading of the existing borehole and solar systems, the construction of a 100 m³ water storage tank, and the implementation of associated civil and electromechanical works. In addition, the project includes the provision of the necessary training and comprehensive operation and maintenance documentation for the installed photovoltaic (PV) power plant.
