In This Context, The Los Batros Wetland Park Constitutes An Area Of ​​High Strategic Value, Having Relevant Environmental Attributes, Such As The Presence Of Native Flora And Wild Fauna, Which Contributes To The Conservation Of Biodiversity And The Mitigation Of Environmental Impacts Within The Urban Environment. The Park Is Located In The Commune Of San Pedro De La Paz, Adjacent To The Candelaria Neighborhood, A Sector That Has A High Population Density, Which Increases Its Relevance As A Structuring Public Space With Immediate Access For The Resident Community. This Location Reinforces Its Role As A Green Lung, Recreational Space And Leisure Area For Daily Use For A Significant Number Of Inhabitants, Directly Contributing To Improving The Quality Of Life Of The Community. In Relation To The Application Process, The Los Batros Wetland Park Seeks To Replicate The Management Model Of The Santiago Metropolitan Park, Adapting It To The Local Scale And Reality, With Emphasis On Environmental Conservation, Permanent Maintenance, User Safety And The Programming Of Educational And Recreational Activities. The Park Area Covers Approximately 22 Hectares, Corresponding To Land Owned By The Serviu Biobío Region. With The Objective Of Providing Continuity To The Service And Improving The Maintenance Standard Of The Park, Considering The Exponential Increase In Visits, The Greater Use Of Infrastructure And The Associated Wear And Tear, The Central Level Has Confirmed Its Financing To Initiate A New Bidding Process Aimed At Renewing The Service, Thus Ensuring The Sustainability Of The Park And The Adequate Provision Of The Service To The Community.
