Tenders are invited for Constructon of Market Shedding in Hadi IDP. Borama Local Government is a public and semi- autonomous institution that was established in Somaliland in 1994 with the aim of: (i) Providing regular public sanitation/hygiene services; (ii) Providing regular public works and urban development services for repairing and maintaining local public services facilities (health, education, water, solid waste dumpsites, markets, roads, culvert bridges, open water storm drainage systems, public street lights, local road networks etc.); (iii) Ma 4. Detailed Scope of Works The contractor shall execute the works full compliance with approved architectural/structural engineering drawings, technical specifications, and the Bill of Quantities (BoQ). A. Preliminaries & Site Setup Provision of site water and electricity supplies throughout the contract duration. Comprehensive site clearance and grubbing. Supply, erection, and maintenance of EU/SUIDAC/BLG compliant project signboards and perimeter safety hoarding. B. Main Market Shed Construction. Foundations: Excavation, backfilling, and construction of stone strip foundations and reinforced concrete (RC) Concrete footings. RC Structural Framework: Pouring of reinforced concrete column bases, ground floor slabs, and tie/ring beams. Steel Framework: Installation and anchoring of structural steel columns using holding bolts, welded joints, and connection net plates. Roofing System: IT4 profile iron roofing sheets mounted on engineered structural steel trusses at a 25° pitch, fitted, roof skylights, and integrated gutter channels. Floor Finishes: Power-floated concrete screed, polished terrazzo floor surfacing for stall zones C. Rainwater Harvesting System. Supply and installation of heavy-duty PVC guttering and downpipe network along roof eaves. Construction of a 1-meter high raised stone masonry base bed for tank stabilization and protection. Supply, connections, and mounting of four (4) food-grade plastic water storage tanks. Internal distribution plumbing and PVC pipework for potable water points. D. Solid Waste Management Facilities Construction of two (2) protected masonry enclosure structures (1.5 m wall height).
