Over the years, CARE has played a crucial role in addressing a series of emergencies in the country, including the ongoing economic crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Beirut Blast, and the current war in Lebanon. Central to CAREs mission is its commitment to placing the needs of the people it serves at the forefront by delivering innovative and impactful programs.CARE has provided critical services across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Akkar, North Lebanon, South Lebanon, and the Beqaa Valley, with a focus on both emergency relief and long-term development. Its projects span multiple sectors including livelihoods, food security, protection, gender equality, shelter, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). These efforts target the most vulnerable populations, including both host communities and refugees.Looking ahead, CAREs program strategy in Lebanon aims to strengthen and expand its emergency response and development efforts. Key areas of focus will include the provision of gender and protection services, basic assistance, food security, and livelihood support, all while adhering to a localization approach. CARE plans to maintain its presence in all regions of Lebanon by working closely with locally accepted partners to ensure sustainable and effective program delivery. Project Context Within the framework of the Solidarity Fund for Feminist Organizations (FSOF), the French Development Agency (AFD) has decided to finance the implementation of the Feminists in Action (FiA) project, which aims to support feminist civil society organizations (CSOs) in the Global South. The general objective of this project is to support feminist organizations in their diversity so that they can gradually become a force for change in favor of womens rights, gender equality and the empowerment of women, girls and marginalized communities globally. FIA offers financial, organizational, technical, and collective action support. This strengthens feminist organizations on multiple levels, allowing them to access funding, improve project implementation, and collaborate effectively. Ultimately, the project aims to create a network of empowered feminist organizations advocating for gender equality and influencing decision-making on local, national, and international levels. Purpose of consultancy The objective of this consultancy is to build the capacity of NGO staff in basic and practical project management skills to improve project implementation and follow-up. The consultant will: Design a simple and practical 2-day workshop agenda. Prepare training materials (presentation, exercises, and handouts). Deliver the 2-day workshop in an interactive way. Facilitate group exercises and real-life examples. Provide a short final report after the workshop. Workshop ContentAgenda is based on the input and recommendations from the consultant with the approval of Care. Consultant ProfileThe consultant should have: Experience in delivering project management . Experience working with NGOs or local organizations. Strong facilitation and communication skills. Ability to deliver practical, simple, and interactive training in Arabic and English. The proposed daily rate should be inclusive of all costs, including any costs for communication and transportation.
