The Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Charitéplatz 1, 10117 Berlin, Is Inviting Tenders For The New Building For The Berlin Center For Gene And Cell Therapies On Behalf Of The Gene And Cell Therapies Incubator Berlin Gmbh (Gct). The Berlin Center For Gene And Cell Therapies, Project Abbreviation “Gct”, Is Planned As A Modern New Building With Laboratory, Office And Gmp Space. It Is The Inaugural Project Of The Bayer Open Innovation Campus In Berlin-Mitte And Is Intended To Close The Translation Gap Between Science And Industry In The Field Of Cell And Gene Therapy. The Space Is To Be Rented Primarily By Bayer Ag, The Charité Or Their Joint Operating Companies And Operated As An Incubator And Co-Lab For Cell And Gene Therapy Start-Ups. As Part Of The Proposed Award, Laboratory Areas Will Be Equipped With Laboratory Furniture Including Associated Installations And Work Facilities On Three Floors, Each With Approximately 770 M² Of Laboratory Space. The Scope Of Work Is Expected To Include 477.6 Linear Meters Of Bench Length And Six Laboratory Fume Cupboards. In Addition, Small Amounts Of Media Yokes Or Media Columns Must Be Provided. The Laboratory Areas Are Designed With A High Level Of Redundancy And Are Equipped With Wall Cabinets And Mobile Containers To The Usual Extent.
