The Large District Town Of Eichstätt Is Planning To Build A New Fire Station For The Eichstätt Volunteer Fire Department At The “Freiwasser” Location. The Subject Of The Award Is Specialist Planning Services For Technical Equipment For The System Groups: • Kg 440 Power Systems • Kg 450 Telecommunications And Information Technology Systems • Kg 460 Conveyor Systems • Kg 480 Building And System Automation The Measure Includes The Construction Of A New Fire Station With A Vehicle Hall, Training And Administration Areas, Workshops, Respiratory Protection Workshop, Washing Hall, Storage Areas And Outdoor Facilities. The Planned Gross Floor Area Is Approx. 2,170 M². Special Requirements Arise From Its Use As A Critical Infrastructure With Requirements For Reliability, Emergency Power Supply, Alarm And Communication Systems As Well As Fire Brigade-Specific Operating Procedures. In Particular, Systems For Security Lighting, Emergency Power Supply, Structured Data And Communication Networks, Radio And Alarm Technology, Fire Alarm Systems And Building And System Controls Are Planned. An Elevator System Is Also Planned For The Two-Story Part Of The Building. When It Comes To The Emergency Power Supply, It Should Be Checked Whether It Can Also Feed Into The House During Regular Maintenance. Overall, The Technical Building Equipment Should Be Functional, Economical And Low-Maintenance. The Aim Is To Achieve A Robust Technical Standard With Building Automation That Is As Simple And Reliable As Possible (“Low-Tech” Approach), As Long As This Is Compatible With The Requirements For Operational Safety And Fire Brigade Technology. Ventilation Systems Should Be Minimized As Much As Possible. They Should Only Be Installed In Rooms With Potentially High Humidity Or Sensitive Technical Systems, Such As Changing Rooms, Indoor Toilets, Respiratory Protection Workshops, Hose Care Rooms, Clothing Rooms Or Fitness Rooms. Due To The Location On Open Water, Requirements For Flood And Operational Protection Must Be Taken Into Account In Planning.
